This remix of Ms Jackson by Thoko was dropped in our box yesterday and boy am I feeling it!  I’ve always loved this song anyways, but to now hear it beefed up with some basslines gives me goosebumbs.  Thoko is a singer/songwriter/producer/remixer by day and a live mash-up DJ by night.  This song was recently featured on BBC’s Radio 1 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00nybrm

Here’s a little teaser for ya. Nervous Records has the one and only Philly legend King Britt in NYC for fantastic night of house music at Santos Party House THIS Saturday night, January 16. The man’s making the trek up the NJ turnpike to offer fans a special preview of his forthcoming new artist album Intricate Beauty. There’s not much known about this album apart from what King’s willing to reveal himself!
 
“For my production fans, I am doing an interesting album called Intricate Beauty. This will be an all out dance record for the oh so sexy. Mostly instrumental, Intricate Beauty will touch on the sensual side of dance music with a little more umph! Definitely influenced by Richie Hawtin’s DE9, this album will be a collage of original bits and pieces and samples from my vast library to create a masterpiece of sonic bliss.” – King Britt, January 2010
