Laidback Luke drops….Chubby Fingers!

15 04 2011

Looking around on some forums I happen to stumble on Laidback Luke’s mix from last Saturday from his Super You & Me radio show in France and saw a tracklisting that showed “Chubby Fingers – Phat Mad Skillz”. I couldn’t believe it! I listened to the mix and sure enough it was our track! We had personally given him a copy of the track on CD last March in 2010 at WMC. By the way, he was a super nice guy and his set that night was scorching.

I then realized in looking at this forum where the mix was posted that he had played the song in another mix last year right after we had given it to him but no one knew that the I.D. of the song was. Crazy! Laidback Luke dropping Chubby Fingers.

Anyways, here are the mixes and the track:

Chubby Fingers – Phat Mad Skillz

He drops it around the 10:30 mark in this mix:

SKEET TRAXX 004 : Jay Robinson – That Beat

7 02 2011

Jay Robinson’s 2011 is off to a blinding start… with a slew of
releases out now and in the coming weeks, Jay’s tracks have seen
support from every major player in the game.
Heavy hitters such as Armand Van Helden, Moby, Laidback Luke, Fake
Blood, Etienne De Crecy and Herve, have been proving time and time
again that this young fella from North Wales is here to stay. This
track is all the more proof !

Original Mix
Jay is on fire with this track ! He has such a real respect for the
percussive elements in a sequence. The track has a real Dirty Dutch
thing going on… beats are so crisp & punchy and feel so essential to
the song as a whole. Mr. Robinson’s neighbor hood indeed !! Then
things get extra spicy when he drops the bass all over your head, like
a giant oak tree that just got struck by lightning and is coming
crashing down… BOOOOOOMMMM !!!!!!
Preview here :

IL Diablo Remix
Along with Jay Robinson, they make up the duo ‘Dub Frequency’, who
have garnered huge support worldwide including plays on BBC Radio1’s
dance shows by Kissy Sell Out, Dave Spoon and more. This remix picks
up where Jay leaves us, and then takes it to a whole other level of
BOOM ! The synths whip around and tear at ya with razor like precision
while the bass starts in on ya with a no-holds-barred attitude.
Masssssssive to say the least ! Defo a man to keep your ears peeled
for. Huge amounts of talent here !
Preview here :

Jackamo Remix
You may know him as one half of the dynamic Birmingham (UK) duo Kitch
N’ Sync, or perhaps you know of him by the Hybrid Theory moniker… it
could just be that you know of him by his real name, James Crone. Co-
Owner of LU10 Records with Michael Dodman (aka Huxley), James lets his
dirtier alter-ego Jackamo come rear his nasty head. This remix is BIG
BIG on so many levels ! Jackie-boy takes ya on a thrill ride for sure,
it feel’s like an effin’ rollercoaster just hits ya full force. Watch
the charts for this remix… sure to smash em !!
Preview here :

Rossco Remix
This West Midlands badman brings the release home in blazing fashion
and changes up the key & bassline to give it a bit more of an Old
School Anthem energy. Stellar production is obvious upon first
listen.. upon first dancefloor play… DEVASTATION !!! If you are a DJ
who wants to drop some truly quality beats, then you are definitely
going to want to pick up this remix. I see big things for Rossco in
2011, and this remix kicks 2011 in the arse saying “get the hell out
of my way!!!”

Rot10 Musik Mega Post!

26 10 2010

Mr. Vega has a new single out on Beatport today called “Sweat”.

Kings Crown Vol.1

Rot10 Musik presents its new series of mini-eps featuring music artists we admire and the tracks that we believe surpass the massive amounts of mediocore music flooding the scene. We call it Kings Crown, a selection of tracks worthy of royal status from producers with true talent. Vol.1 features Four Four with his monster jungle banger “Fatty”. And for the B-side we have Puga delivering his newest work “Abidabu”. This track is his interpretation to what is being passed off as the “Dutch sound” but with a jungle twist and a fantastic old-school hip hop break in-between filled with 808 drums, scratches and vocal-cuts.

Disco Killah – Dhoo

Still with Don Diablo’s 100% support & approval, the track is here for you guys to enjoy.

The Living Graham Bond on FAT! Records

15 07 2010

He is not dead and he does not play the organ. The Living Graham Bond mans the controls for the third release on the newly re-launched Fat! Records.

Winter Hunter showcases The Living Graham Bond’s pop sensibilities with a shimmering vocal from folk singer Fiona Bevan. Having been likened to Erykah Badu and Joni Mitchell Fiona Bevan last year impressed on Channel 4’s ‘Orange Unsigned Act’ with Alex James of Blur describing her voice as “spine-tingling”.

Skimmer sees Graham exploring more familiar territory with his trademark rough and rumbling beats, vocal cuts and a huge synth line. Winter warmer… summer heater!

Early DJ support from Foamo, Edu K, Malente, Blaze Tripp and more.
