This one is a remix we did from a duo in San Jose that have been playing the rave circuit in San Francisco and the bay area for the past few years. Hot on the heels of a recent west coast tour, Psymbionic offers up a seductively sexy remix of Daft Punk’s “Something About Us”. This Austin, TX based producer re-imagines the love ballad with proper taste, giving it at first glance a light retouch, which quickly turns into a whirlwind of stuttering synths scattered across a beefy beat. Sorry for the lack of posts. We are going through our email and will be putting up some music very soon. In the meantime, here is a very quick mix I did incorporating a little of the Foals’ “Spanish Sahara” with Frank Ocean’s “Swim Good”. I really like both songs and just wanted to see if I could do it. Had to use Bar 9’s dubstep vocal version of Sahara. I like the outcome. Hope somebody else does too.
